Hello everyone! October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Today’s post is in honor of those women who are battling all forms of cancer. I recently lost a dear friend to cancer (not breast cancer), so my mind was on her the entire time I was sewing this dress. I know the devastation that this disease brings upon individuals and families. My prayer of hope is with those of you who are currently battling any form of cancer. My prayer of condolence is with those of you who have lost loved ones to cancer. My gratefulness to God is for those of you who are survivors of any form of cancer. God bless you all!

I know many of you have been waiting patiently for my next DIY Video Tutorial. Well, today is the day you’ve been waiting for. The tutorial for this dress is at the bottom of this post.

It is an easy pattern, so if you are a beginner you should be able to manage it if you have some experience with the basics. For those of you who have not learned to sew yet, I suggest you check out my Beginner’s Sewing Course first, then come back and join this tutorial. While I go through the steps of creating this garment, I do skip some of the basics, as this tutorial assumes the follower already has some knowledge of sewing.

Please be sure to read the back of the pattern envelope and purchase what you need to complete this dress. I forgot to mention the seam binding in the video. This pattern goes up to a size 22.
