Happy Wednesday everyone! Ooohhh, I’m so happy to be posting to my blog today. With everything that’s been going on, the opportunity to talk about anything sewing related makes me all giddy inside. I haven’t sewn a single garment since August. I thank ALL of you for your support and prayers for CEMO.

Now for the Big Announcement! I was contacted by a representative of the Baby Lock Sewing Machine Company on May 18th about a possible collaboration. Needless to say, I was quite excited about their interest. After several conversations back and forth, we came to an agreement and I’m so happy to announce that, on July 15th, I signed with Baby Lock as one of their newest influencers. Aaaahhh!!! I’m still so EXCITED to say that! Shortly afterwards, we went away on a great vacation to celebrate my husband’s retirement. My plan was to announce the new collaboration after returning home. However, I never got a chance to do that because as soon as we returned home, my husband received his diagnosis.
It’s been 4 months since I signed with the company and this is my first opportunity to post about it. I am extremely appreciative of Baby Lock for their patience with me. While I’m dealing with my family situation, they have shown extreme compassion in allowing me the time I need to get back in action. They understand my priority is my husband’s care and for that I’m grateful. Because of how they have handled my situation, I am confident that I’ve signed with the right company. Any company that values family is alright with me. The Baby Lock Sewing Machine Company has earned my great respect.
I met up with Christine and Katie while at the Mimi G Style Conference in June and was able to test drive and choose the two machines that I wanted. I chose the Soprano Sewing Machine and Evolution Serger. For those of you who own these machines, you already know how awesome they are. I’ll be sharing more about the machines and some of the features at a later time. Also you’ll definitely be seeing these machines at work in my future YouTube tutorials. I have great things planned for the future and will move forward as time allows, while caring for my husband. Thank you, in advance, for your patience as I slowly return to blogging. I have my next pattern and fabric ready to go. As soon as I get a free moment, I will be sewing my first garment using my new Baby Lock Machines. Oooooh Happy Days!!! Thank you Baby Lock!
Thanks for stopping by!
Remember: When you live in your DESIGN, it is from there that God SHINES!
Anita
CONGRATULATIONS ANITA!!!!!
So Happy for you!!
I purchased a Destiny II a year ago and it’s still in the box !!! I was living in GA at the time I received it and had to move back home to OH to take of my elderly mother. I’ve had to do a lot of cleaning up and painting at the homestead Now I’m in the process of fixing up the basement for a sewing / craft area so I can get my Destiny out of the box!!! Said all that to say this PLEASE PLEASE create a STEP BY STEP instructional YouTube video on Destiny II like you did with the Soprano You are So detailed and professional and let’s not talk about that HAPPY SMILE you have. OMG! Your Spirit comes through the TV. You can tell the Spirit of GOD is upon you. Continue to be BLESSED!!!
Anita, congratulations!
Glory to God … He is awesome!

Pardon me while I run out and buy a Baby Lock. Never even looked at ’em (Janome girl), and I do not know Anita personally. But she publishes a darn good blog which has helped me as a sewist and as she said, who doesn’t want to do business with a company that can put aside metrics for the sake of family. Anita, I will keep praying for you, your husband, and your family. Remember to sew…I know that connecting with something that is just YOU is critically important right now. Thanks for being you.
Congratulations and continued prayers for you, Cemo and your family!

Congratulations Anita! This is such a blessing and so well deserved. Baby Loc is blessed to have such an awesome seamstress on their team. I know this is the first of many things to come. I know I will have some Anita By Design patterns to add to my stash one day in the future. Congratulations again!!
Thanks Darlene!
I am so excited to hear this news; Baby Lock simply couldn’t haven chosen a better influencer — and a more lovely person! — for its brand!
This is especially pertinent news to me, because I have had Bernina sewing machines for 40 years and recently made big changes in my own sewing room. Last year, I finally made friends with serging with the addition of the wonderful Evolution Baby Lock serger. Because of that excellent experience, just last month, I took the enormous step of purchasing the Baby Lock sewing machine. I have been a little worried that this machine is more geared to quilters, so please tell BL that I am so happy to see a garment sewer using one. I am looking forward to being inspired by your use of the new machines!
Awesome Giuditta! So happy to hear about your new purchase Evolution Serger! I’m so excited to get started using it and making some magic.
“Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.” Congratulations Ms. Anita! So glad to see a post from you. While we have missed you posting, we understand why. I will continue to pray for you and your family.
Oh Florence! Thank you so much!
Fabulous- you are so well respected with your talents and it shows!!! Continue prayers for your family.
