Hello Everyone! While I was having my quiet time this morning, a thought provoking question came to mind. “What do people see when they look at me?” I’m not referring to the physical, but the spiritual. As a Christian woman I want others to see a lifestyle that reflects the truth of God’s Word. I want to think, speak, and walk in a manner that demonstrates His presence in my life. While I’m not perfect, and never will be in this life, that’s no excuse for me to just go through life on cruise control. Rather, because of who He is and what He has done, I want to strive to be my absolute best self. In the process, I want others to see Him and be drawn to Him. It is in Him, and through Him, and for Him that I live. May this be what they see.
3-Piece Suit – Scuba Knit
Today’s look is a 3-Piece Suit that I made using scuba knit fabric. I’ve noticed the sew sisters using this fabric so I wanted to give it a try. It was easy to sew with, but I’m not sure how I feel about it yet. I’d like to try it with a pleated skirt or dress next time. I really like the pants paired with the jacket. I’d prefer a longer length on the skirt, however, I decided to try the shorter length due to the design. I used three different patterns (listed below) to create this look. I opted for a different pants pattern than the one that comes with the jacket simply because it’s my favorite pattern for pants right now. Unfortunately, this pattern is “out-of-print.” However, you may still be able to find it on Amazon or Ebay. These pants are super easy to sew. There’s no waist band and the flared legs offer just the right amount of width at the bottom to complement this jacket. Now, let’s talk about the color. Oh My Goodness!!! I’m loving this bright and beautiful turquoise color. It’s so vibrant and makes me feel happy.

Do you think this jacket could be made with ponte knit? I think it’s 9 oz, from FWD.
This is what i call royalty at it’s best. Am loving this outfit, thanks Anita for bringing those sewalong videos so that Christian women can dress modestly once again, continue shearing, and keep up the good work,God bless.
Hi Anita…I purchased this pattern without really reading the blog post. So as I was reviewing some the outfits you’ve seen, I actually read the blog post. First I want to say, I love your style, class. I Alway pray for others to see the beauty of Jesus in me! When I read you posts and the humbleness I sense, I definitely see the image of Christ. Keep up the good work and letting Him use the work of your hands to bless others. Also, I loved your sewing classes and can’t wait for them to resume!Blessings!
Hi Lillian! Thank you so much for your feedback. I keep praying and asking God to help me stay focused. I really appreciate you sharing your observation.
The tutorials will resume shortly.
I love this suit! You did such a great job. I have the jacket pattern. Could you please tell me if it runs true to size? I am between sizes and want to know if I need to go up a size or down.
Hi Beth! I apologize for missing this question. I found the jacket pattern to be true to size.
I absolutely love everything about this look. I can’t wait for my sewing skills to develop to create something so fierce.
Thanks, Roxanne!
What a beautiful three pieces suit. You did a superb job and as always, you are wearing it well. Thanks Anita for the reminder that as Christians we should always be a reflection of Christ.
Absolutely gorgeous! Love the color. And those shoes are perfect with the suit. When did you say you’ll start making shoes? Lol!
And…you have always exemplified Christ. Thanks for the reminder that we all should be doing that.
Awwww, thanks Nahrin, so have you.
I love the line in your post that says and I’m paraphrasing, that even though we know that perfection is not possible in this life, it is not okay to go along on cruise control and not strive to be better…..this is so true! I hope that other’s see exactly that in me-that I’m trying daily to put my best foot forward in speech and actions and even when I stumble, I’d like them to see my effort!
Oooh Tonya, thank you so much for responding. Yes, even when we stumble, may they see our effort. I absolutely love that, because we WILL stumble. Have a good evening, and thanks for stopping by.
Thanks Linda! Yes! So glad you’re joining me.
Again! You nailed it!
