Beginner’s Sewing Course – Announcement

Hello everyone!  Are you ready to sew?  The course begins on May 6th!  Check out the video to find out what supplies you’ll need, and information about my first GIVE-AWAY.

Class Schedule

Once a week I will post a new video, teaching the steps to construct the garment that we will be working on.  You may watch and sew along at your leisure.  This course is geared toward the person who doesn’t know how to sew, so I will be working at a slow pace.  If you already know how to sew and are here for a refresher, please keep in mind that this will be a slow paced course.  For those of you who are beginners, I will teach you the basics that you will need to start your sewing journey.  After you learn the basics, you will be able to further your training by watching other tutorials and reading sewing books.  Once this course is complete, I will begin creating tutorials of some of the garments I’ll be making.

Beginner’s Sewing Kit Give-Away

I will be blessing one person with a Beginner’s Sewing Kit, which will include some of the basic tools needed to start the sewing journey.  Check out the video below to find out what’s included in the kit, and to learn how you may enter the drawing.  The deadline to enter is Wednesday, April 6th @ 11:59 pm PST.  The winner will be announced on Friday, April 8th.  Make sure you subscribe to the blog to receive email notifications when new class videos are posted.  You may subscribe by going to the bottom of this post, entering your email address in the designated box, and clicking “SUBSCRIBE.”  I will contact the winner by email to make arrangements for shipping.

    I haven’t sewed in a very long time! My Mom taught me when I was young.
    I’m wandering which Pattern Brand is the Best for “Beginners”?

      Hi Georgina! The McCall’s brand has a line of patterns for beginners called, “Lear to Sew.” Check them out.

    Hi Ms. Anita. I’m so glad God touched your heart to help others and it is a blessing for me because since I was a little girl I have always wanted to learn to sew my own garments especially once I got older. I have a very unique body shape which makes shopping for clothes very challenging for me. And also, I would love to put a smile on others face who aren’t as fortunate to buy clothes. So it would make my heart jump if I can sew clothing for others sometimes blessing someone to feel good while looking their best and for these reasons is why I am joining your course.
